One of the first things I ever knitted was a moss stitch scarf for my father which, like this shawl, was made with Fez. He's been telling me ever since how much he loves his scarf, not just because his daughter made it for him but because of the yarn which kept him toasty warm throughout the last couple of bitter, British winters.
So when I saw that Fez has been discontinued and my local yarn store was destashing at a decent discount, I filled my shopping basket. This one is a wonderful subtle, go with anything grey but I'm now thinking I should grab a few more colours for good measure, particularly since I know my father is going to be proved right. You see, my textured shawl is going to be just the ticket when the temperature drops and, on the plus side, with its mammoth almost blanket like proportions, I am forecast never to be cold again.

Happy week, everyone. What are you up to?
